Invoices are essential billing records within the ReportsVault platform. They enable legal and finance teams to manage, review, and track legal spend with accuracy and transparency. Every invoice is linked to a specific matter, ensuring that all billing activities are traceable and contextually relevant. Invoices move through a structured review process that supports collaboration between internal teams and outside counsel.
Information that is typically managed within the Invoices section includes:
  • Invoice metadata (vendor name, invoice number, amount, date, currency, etc.).
  • Matter-level association for financial tracking and reporting.
  • Status tracking (Pending, Reviewed, Adjusted, Rejected, Approved, etc.).
  • Reviewer actions such as comments and adjustments.
  • Timekeeper-level line items with roles, task codes, hours, and rates.
  • Audit trails and invoice activity logs.
  • Document uploads including the original invoice.
  • Filter and search tools for quickly locating invoices by matter, vendor, status, or date.
  • Print Preview for closure details.
