Related Matters

The Attachments tab allows users to upload, view, and manage documents directly within a matter. This feature ensures that all related files are securely stored and easily accessible in one centralized location.
To link and manage related matters:
  1. Navigate to the Matters section from the left-hand menu.
  2. Open any specific matter by clicking its title.
  3. Select the Related Matters tab in the matter’s top menu bar.
Linked matters display the following details:
  1. Matter Title – Clickable name that opens the linked matter in a new tab.
  2. Category – The matter’s legal or operational classification.
  3. Type – The selected type of matter (e.g., FR, SSJ).
  4. Status – The current workflow stage of the matter (e.g., Assigned, In Progress).
  5. Law Rep. and Counsel – (If assigned) will display the primary legal representatives.
Each linked matter has a delete icon on the right that allows you to remove the association.
Note: Removing a linked matter does not delete the original matter itself.
Assigning a Related Matter:
To add a new related matter:
  1. Click the Assign Matter button at the top of the screen.
  2. A searchable list of existing matters will appear.
  3. Use filters (Category, Type, Status, Law Rep., Received Date) or the search bar to narrow results.
  4. Select the matter(s) you want to associate.
  5. Click Save to confirm your selection.
